Got up this morning about 8:30 according to the new time. Kinda cool. I got to hang out with the fellas last night and get up at a decent hour.
There is egg on the front window here at my apartment. It must have came from the apartment complex next door. There are a lot of rambunctious kids over there and there is a gap directly opposite my window in the trees that line the chain link fence between the two complexes. I checked my car and it is egg free but my upstairs neighbor has some egg on her back window. I'd be more annoyed if I hadn't done the same thing a couple of times when I was in high school.

It's been a while since I've heard from her but I see Camille Paglia was interviewed for an article on Salon.com. Here's a quote: "Secondly, on Iraq: I still say, as I told Salon before the war, that it was despicable that most of the Democratic senators lay down flat and voted for the Iraq war resolution. So Kerry is trapped in that. He really does blow with the wind -- as the Republicans satirized in one of the greatest political ads ever, which showed him wind surfing back and forth across the screen. Nevertheless, Kerry's in a much better position to get us out of this damned war. Reelecting Bush just mires us in the same failed policies: Bush will just go on and on to prove he was right in the first place. He never fires anyone! And so we'll only have a stubborn continuation of the same blinkered strategies -- and maybe more foolish incursions. Iran and Syria may be next. We're throwing billions of dollars down the drain."

Destroy them all, God knows his children
God bless our great president.
In all seriousness how can you fucking sleep at night knowing that you are personally responsible for over 50,000 deaths? OK, I guess you have to sleep since your body demands that you do. I guess the real question is how can you stand in front of people while smirking like a third-grader with a snowball and claim the world is safer. When this dink is defeated this coming Twosday and he finally slinks out of the Whitehouse in early 2005 he is going to disappear from the national scene like no president ever has.
One of my favorite bands
Right now I am listening to a bootleg concert of the Butthole Surfers recorded in 1985 in Germany. It's so cool, I can't believe how clear this audience recording is. It's a pretty hot show. In fact throughout the whole show so far there is a constant, and unobtrusive, buzz from the crowd. Lots of "whoos" and various other vocal appreciations. I found it at this site. I highly recommend browsing this site if you like unedited concert recordings. Maybe you'll get lucky and find a show by one of your favorite bands. Just don't expect any real big names except for the Grateful Dead. If you are a Mike Watt or a Minutemen fan the site is a friggin' goldmine.
I also found a few Waco Brothers' show. God bless the internet.

Look at all dem peoples
For the last ten working days here at my library branch there has been a constant line of people waiting to get in for early voting. Can you imagine that? Americans standing in line to vote! Wow.
You know after bashing our dingbat president for the last couple of years on this blog I have been trying to find something positive to say about the worthless turd and I think I found it. He is such a shitty and divisive president that he may directly cause the biggest turnout of voters in the last 100 years. God bless our crappy president!
I voted today and it felt really good to push that button on the machine marked "John Kerry." I have a recommendation to any undecided voters out there. If you are still undecided when you walk up to that voting machine go ahead and press the John Kerry button and take a gander at it. It'll feel so good I think you'll leave it that way and go on with the rest your ballot.

This is not political
I looked over my blog today and found that most of my entries for the last two weeks have been political in nature. Ill-informed diatribes and callous fearmongering on my part but still political. I apologize. I just write whatever is on my mind and then log off and let the world come and be entertained.
New Music
The other day I saw that Megadeth had released a new album. I went through a little metal phaze back in the early 90's. I tried to like it but most of it was shit. Megadeth rose above the genre for a while and recorded some darn good music. I do remember some people scoffed at their name as childish hyperbole but we live in a world where megadeath caused by weapons of mass kaplooey is a real concern and the band is of this world...you know what I mean. The new album is called "The System has Failed" and it's not bad. I say not bad because half of it is incredible and half of it is radio-friendly crap. But when it's good, boy oh boy, they haven't pouned stuff like that out for years. It's enough to cause you to make the devil horn sign with your hand and bite your lip and sneer for a second. I guess we can thank the shitty political climate created by George and his boys for one positive occurance, they managed to make Dave Mustaine angry again.

I just got watching the new and obscene campaign commercial that was approved by our beloved president. Is this the same guy that accused Kerry of using fear in his campaign? Someone who is this irresponsible with his advertisements doesn't deserve his job or our respect.
