Something here seems familiar...

I am currently reading "The Plot Against America" by Philip Roth. It's set during the 1940's and instead of Roosevelt getting elected to the presidency for a third time, the anti-semitic and fervent isolationist Charles Lindbergh becomes president.

Hmmm...an ideologically driven right wing president spends his first term creating a very dangerous and divisive climate in the United States. Dang, that sounds familiar to me for some reason.
